The Cause

We organise and support events in order to raise funds:

  • To support other associations who work with young people
  • To develop and promote a resource library of organisations in the Royal Borough in the form of a web site
  • For Time2Shine’s ultimate project: a Youth centre

Current Projects

Time2Shine is currently working hard to raise funds to support the following projects:

The Bridge Trust Thames Valley - Re:charge café

£5,000 to provide one youth worker for one evening per night for one year.
The Bridge Trust reaches out to the young people of Maidenhead by welcoming them to their project - re:charge café in Queen Street, Maidenhead, aimed at young people (11-18) and young parents aged between 15 and 25, with their young children.
re:charge is a safe environment for young people to be themselves but be challenged and be given opportunities to experience positive relationships and activities.

Time2Shine is raising funds to pay for a youth worker for a year to extend the nights that re:charge is open, from two to three per week.

e2e Mentoring Programme

“Entry to employment” is a work scheme coordinated through Connexions Direct, for people aged 16-18 who are not participating in any form of post-16 learning .
The scheme admits people if it’s an appropriate option for them. This will enable them to progress to further learning , an apprenticeship or a job.

Through Time2shine we are constantly recruiting mentors who are willing to give their time to help with the programme.
