What is Time2Shine?Time2Shine is an organisation that aims to raise funds to support existing organisations and voluntary services working with young adults (12 to 16). Our ultimate aim is to develop youth clubs or teenage centres of our own, where young adults can interact and have structured activities that will help them progress and understand their strengths and weaknesses, so that they can take a more logical approach to their life and career opportunities, rather than being on the street.
Kids today live in a confusing world. Many of us had problems growing up, but have made something of ourselves and want to give something to these kids who maybe haven’t got support at home or school.
There are a great many opportunities for helping young people in the Royal Borough. However, there does not appear to be any functioning umbrella for all the youth organisations in the area. Many organisations and projects do not know who else is out there, or who is working to the same aims as they are, and with whom they could share knowledge, help, etc.
We would like to provide this service through a website with all the contact information of all organisations. But before we can do this, we need to raise the funding to support the work needed to achieve it!We want to work with organisations that help young adults develop confidence to expand their comfort zone and help them make the right decisions now that will make them successful tomorrow.
We also work closely with local schools and government offices to make sure children have the support to understand their environment and deal with any issues that may hold them back in later life.
There are a lot of things we want to achieve, and with support and fundraising we feel the future is bright for Time2Shine.
